MaGiC by Greennovate was developed to bring together Chinese youth and responsible businesses in finding a common path towards a sustainable future. It is an open initiative designed to encourage Chinese university students to learn about sustainability through hands‐on experience and best practices.

While working with business and youth in China, Greennovate developed the idea for MaGiC in response to the following needs:

  • a shared vision of greener China among consumers and business
  • a deeper understanding of environment
  • spread of sustainable business practices in China

Their first project was to organize the MaGiC Design Competition, which will run for two months from October 1st to November 30th. Students will get their first chance to participate by submitting their design proposals online. The best entrants will be invited to Shanghai next summer to join MaGiC Experience and spend a month working with famous designers and other bright ‘green minds’.
