A native Shanghainese, Jenny Ji, launched her ethical fashion label ‘La vie’ at Tian Zi Fang, the city’s famed art hub, in 2002. Each of her collections is inspired by a ‘slice of life’, be it nature, culture, custom or even local cuisine. Blending Chinese elements of traditional culture with western ways of cutting and design style has become her signature fusion style.

Her signature modern design style is inspired by art and architecture, Elaine Kim, believes we need not give up fashion and luxury to save the world. Her new collection made its debut at last year's New York Fashion Week to wide applause for style and consciousness. To Kim, it’s really just a matter of how we apply all of our human ingenuity to the environmental issues.
